If you have not yet applied for your Homeowner's Property Tax Exemption, where up to a maximum of $7,000 of the assessed value of your property may be granted, you may do so by following the instructions below:

You can call the County of Los Angeles, Office of the Assessor at (213) 974-3211 or (888)-807-2111 and ask for Form BOE-266 Rev.8 (08/05).

You can also download this form from the internet — you will need your APN#, which you could obtain here

Scroll down and click the "Accept" under "Proprietary Information." This will take you to a screen where you can enter your physical address, click "Submit" to get your APN#. Click on "Assessor's Home Page" (upper left corner), choose "exemption" found under "Forms" on the left column. Click "BOE-266, ASSR 515, ASSR 517" to download a two-page pdf file. Fill out the first page by following the instructions found on the second page. NOTE: You can also get your APN# from your tax bill.
